September

Daddy's Pride and Joy. On the 4th we got a picture of our cute munckin in her new Patent Pending shirt that uncle Keyvan brought her. Couldn't be more appropriate.

We left for the our weekend at the beach on the 6th at Virginia Beach, and as we were driving across the bridge there was no traffic going in our direction, but it sure was busy in the opposite direction as the forecast was predicting Hurrican Hannah was going to cause trouble along the shoreline. We were up for the adventure and were greeted by Poseidon at the edge of the boardwalk.

We got Teagan all bundled up and headed out for a walk...

we meet up with the rest of the Emdadi clan that were meeting us at the beach for the weekend.

After some severe wind and rain, Craig and Eva pondered what the weather would bring tomorrow and if we would get a chance to have some beach time...

We caught a beautiful sunset while we were walking around...

and later caught a bite to eat on the boardwalk with Vanessa and Kourtney as Grandma Demlow watched Teagan and Jada back at the hotel.

The next day was beautiful and sunny so we headed to the beach for Teagan's first ocean adventure.

Teagan in Daddy's arms enjoying all the new sights

Action shot of Teagan's first experience of a wave coming up onto the sand.
What we didn't catch was her quick thrusting out of her lower lip and the cry that followed shortly. Oh well, maybe the ocean is an acquired taste.

We all enjoyed the sunny day. There is proof in the photo that Grandma Amy had fun soaking up some rays.

We were all sad to see the weekend come to a close. Here is Teagan giving some protest as we are getting ready to leave.

The next week we were proud to celebrate Teagan's first piggytails.

We were lucky enough to have Debbie, Jon, Anika and Collin ALL come out to visit us. I guess I should be more specific to visit little miss Teagan, but we were happy to see them too. It was a great visit! They arrived on Weds and we all went downtown to the National Zoo on Thursday.

Grandma Demlow, while babysitting on Friday, got a great shot of Teagan on her changing table with her new favorite passtime...playing with her toes. She just recently found them and they have her fascinated.

The next day we enjoyed a trip out to see Karen's horse Bafling and go for a ride.
Anika on Bafling

Collin at the barn on the most pictureque of days

Craig on Bafling...don't try this at home (smoking a cigar while riding a horse)

Craig, Teagan and I at the barn watching while Collin and Anika were feeding Bafling carrots and apples. Bafling had the feast of a lifetime that day.

Collin and Ankia at the barn admiring Bafling

After Bafling ate his fill and then some we toured the rest of the barn and thought it would be a good idea to see if Teagan would enjoy feeding one of the horses. We gave the carrot to Teagan so we could help her hand it off to the horse, but silly us she put the carrot straight into her mouth for a taste and the horse expecting the carrot for himself decided to try a little nibble of Craig instead.

The Wald's were off back to Colorado at the end of the weekend, but not before a quick picnic at Great Falls.
Debbie, Teagan and I with the Falls in the background. I guess this should also count as her 5 month old photos, because this was on the 21st of September.

The Wald's took a quick family photo at the falls. Okay, I know I already told them they are all just too photogenic they are making the rest of us look bad =)

We closed out September with a night out with the Fusco clan to partake in the opening of Jackson's at Reston Town Center. The newest in a long line of the Great American restaurants. The food was good and the company even better.
